Yamahaforlife- I got a senior citizen discount. LOL You will like your finished project. I had some free bies in there to get this figured out, not to mention a few mistakes along the way. Put some velcro on your seat before you re-install the motor

14mins,

How much is CrayCraft backed up? Was your Raptor that they built a kit or did you tell them what you wanted? How reliable is your engine?

Big Bubba- They are not backed up. They do this all the time. The get the job done. About 3 weeks from the day you ship your motor till it gets back. You tell them what you want and they do it. You need to decide withthere help wheter you want a stock bore, 686 or 727. Then you decide on the cam choice, and valves etc. They have a basic kit and others. I think that a kit just like my motor is 1750. In that you get new ferra stainless valves that they back cut, dual rate springs, Custom headgasket, port and polish head with carb boots and new valve stem seals, coatings applied to a lighten and deburred piston?? combustion chamber, your cyclinder bored/honed/coated, cam and assorted jets and pilot jets and a picture of what to do to the air box. All shipped back to you ready to install with jetting recomandations. There are millions of options and Bob can handle them all from clutches to trannie parts. Call bob and find out.

Probably the best bang for the money would be to port/polish 686 with 11-1 and stage 1 cam. You need no dual rate springs with this or race gas. Look for mid 50's with this kit. This kit is probably around 800 dollars with a valve job using your stock valve. I think this is what i am going to do to my 2001 when my trannie parts come in.

Did you get the FCR carbs?? If I'm gonna build my engine like that I want to get these carbs, does CrayCraft sell them? If so what price? I'm looking for HP ratings like yours but want reliability with it, I would like mid 60's RWHP. I know Sparks sells those carbs for $800. How much did you pay for all your engine work?
