Did Cannondale really file chapter 11? If so, does this mean they no longer have to make parts for past model bikes?

Weasle I notice you have Defiance down for your location. I work in Defiance. I have not seen anyone local on here for awhile.

Not only did they file Chapter 11, their workers went to work yesterday morning to locked doors according to one article I read. The article said Cannondale's suppliers refused them credit and for the last few months they were operating by C.O.D!

I think Cagiva will buy out Cannondale and continue making atv's. Just my theory.

Could have told you this was coming, but in the past few months I had become A C-Dale fan because of thier willingness to push the market towards the future and support the riders as they did....I am sorry to hear about the workers loosing thier jobs the most...Cannondales innovations won't be matched for at least 5years by the big 4 and may never be duplicated! DAMN I really liked those ideas

He said you had. I just noticed where you from. It looks like you have been on here awhile judging from the number of posts you make. Do you go to Silver Lake?

Hey RhondaV and weasle - I went to UofT. That is pretty close to Defiance, isn't it? I used to race downhill races and dual slalom on Cannondale mountain bikes. I am heartbroken about their troubles. But now I need more speed and power so I have a Raptor, but if I had $12,500 a year ago, then I would have bought a Moto.

I have been to Silver Lake a couple times this past year. I am spending 4th of July week there this year. I am going to try to rent a cabin on the lake. Y'all let me know if you are interested in hooking up for a ride there sometime. I can show you some good trail systems in MI also.

It is a small world. We go to Silver Lake about 3 to4 times a summer. We have never rented a cabin before. We also stay in the "high priced" hotel. The cabin would probably be better. We always go in June, August and Sept. then once in October before they close. U of T is about 1 hour from Defiance.

Actually I haven't been there yet. After I got my quad, my buddies only went up once and I couldn't make it. But this year, I plan on making it up there a couple times.
