14 MINS-SWINGARM EXTENSION ????
#3
Jraptor...he doesnt run a swingarm extension. He runs TCS shocks up front with a lowering kit sometimes, and sometime without the lowering kit. He does a good job of keeping the front end down. A swingarm extension would definitely help him leave the line harder because he could tach it up higher and have a little bit of wheelspin. On my 727, I will have a 4" Tucker pro arm extension. I used to run a JTM 4.5" extension on a stock bore 12:1 and it was a bit of overkill for that little of a motor..but it kept the front end down great. If you are getting the Craycraft 686, I would recommend the 3" as opposed to the 2". I think you would be much happier with the 3".
Reliability: His bike has never had one problem except for the 01 tranny failing a few times. The 686 is a very reliable motor.

My stock swing-arm is on its way back from Bullet fab. I got the 2" extension because Mike said it seems to be the choice for all around riding without affecting handling too much. It costs around $250 plus shiping & if you send one to him be sure to clean it up real good & remove the axle bearings so they don't burn up. You can leave the swing-arm bearings in but tape em up before shipping. Mike is a hell of a nice guy & I hope to see them dabbling with making a Raptor frame.
I'll let you guys know how it handles when I get it installed & take it out for a ride. Still below freezing here but it won't be long, it got up to 30 somehting today, wooohooo!
