Was your seat off or on??
With my lid off & seat on there was a lot of turbulance in my airbox that showed up as a "roller coaster" look to the curve when all the other runs with the lid on was smooth.
Obviously you have a lot of diffent mods than I do & I can't feel any diffrence when riding with the lid off using my a$$ dyno but the dyno did show the erratic curve & the only diffence was the lid.

Seat was on when it was dynoed. When I was just piped and jetted I could tell a big difference between lid and no lid. Lid off= more power better excelleration for my quad.
The place that repaired my transmission installed the piston and cam but, had I not been in need of tranny repairs I would have done the piston/cam myself.
Was it worth the money? Yes, absolutly. If you thought the pipes and filters were a nice improvment, you'll love the piston/cam. Best money I've spent so far.

I've been up and down, yes I ran the 150/155 at times, it was on the rich side though but, still ran strong. I settled on the 148/150 dynojets when I had stock piston and cam. I've always ran with no lid since i bought my pipe over a year ago. Once I switched to the dyno jets its always ran strong. Before the dyno jets I had the pipe filter for a while and had a few minor issues with getting the jetting right. The plug looks great now but I'm considering giving 155/160 dyno jets a try and see how it goes.
You spent 500+ for your pipe, filter, jets, I gurantee the difference you'll see and feel with the piston/cam will be better than the difference you felt and saw with the pipe etc. It all depends on what you do with your quad whether or not this purchase is for you. Other than a port and polish of the head one day this is all the motor mods my quad will ever see.

Thanks for the insight. I had been running 150/155 dynojet with the lid off but felt it was a little fat. I then tried to run with the lid on to see if it would run better because of what some had said regarding air velocity and turbulance. I rejetted to 146/148 dynojet and ran with the lid on. I think the bike ran harder with the lid off. I am know debating on whether or not to go with 148/150 or back to 150/155 before Presidents at Glamis. I think you settled it for me. I will run it with the 148/150 and the lid off and see how she does. I am getting sick of changing these jets but I have it down to sort of a science now. I am not ready to break into the motor to get more horsepower yet. Thanks for your help. Are you going out to Glamis for Presidents or maybe Dumont?
