ltzracer, do you accually race in the woods? orginized? gncc? if curtis crump can finish 2nd in pro production. i'd say it's more rider than anything else. the Z is a nice quad. probably if i had soaked all the money i've put in the raptor into a Z, i would have a really nice quad w/ a cracked shock mount. and wishing i had more power .Z gusset

I can't believe im posting this but...i may agree with ltz400racer.

we are riding in the same type of terrain...the trails i ride are tight rocky and rocky...i own a raptor and a warrior. And i prefer the warrior in these conditions. okay...okay..settle down. allow me to explain. i wouldnt say the warrior handles any better. its simply a matter of ponies. too many in the raptor...trust me my raptor is far from stock. The warrior power is just more manageable...which allows me to ride all out and therefore faster.

my raptor leaps up like a rabid animal anytime i blip the throttle...it's an awesome quad that needs alittle more room them these 400cc machines. as soon as you give any raptor a little room...their gone. fire roads,powerlines,sandpits,tracks,dragging...beware of raptors. but tight technical...it's like a bull in a china shop.

again the factor to consider is what type of trails...if their wide enough for another quad to pass...ill take my Raptor...but if its tight ...your begging for a bent axle or broken tie-rods and thats exactly what i got. thats not to say raptors can't keep up with me on the warrior in the trails...they're just riding on the edge and taking more risks...in my opinion and experience.

have any of you seen the high performance shootout in the new dirt wheels? I Quote "Trail ride test: This is where the Raptor Literally wheelied away from the competition" so i think it is just a case of people being to weak to handle the all out power of the raptor They have to switch to the "overall ease of handling, lightweight, and agile" Z400 a fairy quad? i think so

I believe some people who are inexperienced rider should buy Z-400, If you really have to have a raptor that is "less tippy" you can spend $75 on some spacers and flip the front wheels then you have the power of a raptor with the training wheel like stance of a Z-400. Raptor arefor experienced riders only!!!!! If you can't handle 3rd gear wheelies you really owe it to yourself to stay safe and buy an under powered Z or KFX.

yeah...that must be it. i must be too weak to handle the power of a quad ive owned for three years, modified myself, and ride strictly for MX. Genius krb1184...and your right...who can argue with a man quoting DW's.

I don't My wife has a new z in the gerage and it is a really nice machine. I like how it handles, it is comfortable and a blast to ride. But so is my raptor. I have come to the conclusion that evrey machine has + and - . So am I going to sell my raptor for a z? No. Am I going to sell her z for a raptor? No

look this was a pretty simple question ..but all you raptor owner say the same thing ..ITS A 660 IS GOT TO BE FAST..i will ride with any of you and trust you me you better get a head start..or look for the tire marks to see where i went..i half been working out for 5 years and theres no way a raptor could get away from me ..I WILL MAN HANDLE THAT THING...I WOULD THROUGH THAT THING AROUND LIKE RICKY CARMICHAEL WOULD A CR 80.but lets be honest..they is no way the raptor can keep up with the z in the woods...maybe you raptor owners need to ride with someone that can ride ...like me ..sorry this had to get ugly but you started the bashing...in a straight race the raptor would win ....lets put it this way.....a 69 camaro z28 racing a little honda crx lowrider..the z would win until they hit that first corner..then forget it..and no the raptor wouldnt be so far ahead that it could take its time throught the corner....just face realality..suzuki made a 400cc quad and its all over the raptor...and it 260cc smaller..if i put the difference of money they cost in the motor ..the raptor would have no chance..and it still would be a bunch of cc smaller...sorry this had to come to this you rapto owners ask for it

lol. Dude you've fell off your Z and hit your head. Z's are not faster than Raptors...you may be faster than most...but those are your skills not the Z's. My rap w +3 a-arms and elkas will out handle a Z but how much engine work can you do. the raps are suffocated at the factory...and have much more building potential.

and where the hell is three rivers? lol ive never heard of it.
