KN raptor jetting question
#1
I recently purchased a KN jet kit for my raptor and it suggested installing a 142 adn 144 main jet with the stock pipe and kn filter. Does this sound right. I was under the impression that the stock jetting was 145 and 146. What have you guys done. Should I up the jets evern though I don't plan on adding a new pipe anytime soon!!

K&N are Dyno jets, they are the same. They have a different flow rate than the stock mikuni's. Do as the instructions say for your setup and altitude and you'll be fine. Stock mikuni jets are 140/145

i have stock pipes along with everything else...i went out and bought me the K&N jet kit and didn't like the jetting spec's on it....so i installed the K&N air filter and oil filter. But i replaced the jets with 160/165 main jets, took off the air box lid, and turned the mixture screw twice. Around the 4000 rpm range it was about the same, but around 5000 rpm up to the peak at 6100 rpm i gain nearly 3 horses in performance.
