Have a 96 Warrior k&n airfilter, running 150 jet, supertrap pipes.I think I blew a piston this weekend (Trying to keep up with my friends DS'S)Will find out this weekend when I tear into it.Any suggestions if it is the piston.Have to fix it might as well give her a facelift.Rebore bigger piston?(Any suggestions on pistons)Larger cam?Or just fix back to factory specs and sell and wait for the new cannondale or the new yamaha. No fun lagging behind at the dunes.

I think trying to make up a 300cc disadvantage is gonna be tough. I'd trade up to a used Banshee with a good set of pipes and be happy to keep up and pass him without spending $7000. I also ride a Warrior but dont think anything short of a stroked, alcohol burning, nitrous injected motor would close the gap. It'd be cheaper to buy the DS than mod the Warrior that much.

A buddy of mine spent 2 grand on facelifting his 99 warrior only to be beaten by stock banshees.. He was pretty pissed off because 1)He was still lagging at the dunes, and 2)Nobody in there right mind would give him a decent trade in for his warrior so he could get a banshee. Now he owns a Warrior, and a new y2k banshee. The warrior doesn't get much use these days. Good luck!
