Anyone try the PEP rebuildable? I just flipped my front rims and my wrists are taking a little bit more beating then I would like. Also, do you think that a dampner will possibly decrease the possibility of bending or breaking my tie-rods?

Fisher - Thanks, glad to hear there's some adjustment in there.

I measured my neighbor's PEP and believe it will mount to frame and poke out just under the left of the gas tank. I'll take pics if I get it worked out.

go get GPR and you have it bolt up in 30 min very easily....

Go call GPR and see if they are going to be there for the weekend and if they do, they may install for you for nothing..... Telephone: (1) 619 422 5771

Also their web site: http://www.gpr-products.com/home.htm

Research my previous posts concerning the PEP stabilizer for the Raptor. Stay as far away from the PEP stabilizer as possible. I suppose the stabilizer could decrease your chances of loosing control and trashing your tie rods.
Guys, does the Denton actually stick out beyond the front bumper?

you might consider a scotts stabilizer too, its simliar to the GPR and you can use it on a stree bike too (if you have one) its pricey, but damn nice.

The denton does not stick out past the stock front bumper. Picture the gap between the front plastic and the bumper: It goes about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way out from under the plastic nose to the bumper at it's fullest extension. I was a little concerned at first but it's never been an issue.

I had to make the front mount. I thought it looked pretty Mickey Mouse going through that center hole.

deltadawg-

The steering stabilizer will put MORE stress on your tie-rods when you hit a bump or stump or whatever. It will, however, put less stress on your handlebars, arm, and wrists. I have the Denton, and so far I am very happy with it. Good Luck!
