Default I am broke but found new studding methods help!

if the tires are bald and 4ply how much rubber is there? no treads, bald tire how much from outer tire to air! will 1/2in wood screws fit?,I sold my shredders with studs and have to race soon!

It will work, but you will need a bunch of Tire Slime to keep any air in the tires, because the screws will all be poking through if the tire is bald.

well.. here is what I would do alba, I would first off buy some tubes (less than 20). Make that super duty tubes too. Then take your tires off to stud them. First drill a hole in the tire where you want the stud. Then get some nuts (preferrably lock nuts) that will work with the stud. Shove the stud through the hole u drilled, and then with a washer and that lock nut, tightly connect it to the stud, so it will never rip out. I can imagine that will be a long process, but for me, it would be the only sure way of getting them to stay in. Oh, and if your screw has a good chunk of it hanging out the backside of the nut and washer, cut it off with small bolt cutters. Reinstall the tire with the tube, and voila, you have yourself a some nice ice tires.

But I cant imagine anything but a kold kutter getting any grip on the ice.
