Default Help Removing stock A-Arms

I have a set of Alba pro comps that will be here Fri.

What is the best way to seperate the ball joints and tie rods from the spindle? I have a pickle fork, but it ruined the boot on one stock ball joint and I don't want to ruin any more if I don't have too.

Any tricks?

Thanks
David

The Pro-comps will come with ball joints. The easiest way for me was to use socket extension and place it against the end of the threads on the stock ball joint and give a couple taps with a hammer. It came out easily and it didn't harm the threads. The Pro-comps were a great choice!! Did you order the bushings with the arms?? Good Luck!!

Yeah, I got the bushings and new brake lines. Does anyone know if the stainless brake line will fit in the stock holder or are those billet pieces necessary?

Thanks for the advice.

Well doc....I still use my stock holders and they work great!!! I race my Rappy and haven't had any problems with the holders. They still clip on pretty tight. The only thing you will need to do is fabricate a piece to hold the line to the quad where the two lines come together and go up to the cylinder.(The "T" part of the lines.) It will move around a lot if its just left hanging...
