Default Is this normal.....

Lately I have noticed that after a sorta long hard ride, on my shee, when I go for a break and turn it off all together
I can here the radiator doing the sizle, pop, crackle, noise..sorta like the noise a cars radiator makes when you turn off the engine and listen carefully... Is this a normal sound that you should expect from a banshee? or should i look for ways to increase the cooling efficency..i think i am low on coolant...

thanks

First off if havent done this allready replace your rad cap. The cooling system is designed to run under preasure to increase to boiling point of the coolant. Most people overlook that even on their cars. Then I would get a billet impeller to increase the water flow, that should help. Make sure you dont have any leaks.

you might also think about installing a fan with a toggle switch, so you can let it idle for a little bit when your done riding and keep the fan running to help cool it down before you turn it off. Just like a truck after 4x4in hard, its better to let the motor idle and keep the coolent flowing through the motor then to just shut it down.

just a thought

Its easy, pull off the radiator cover infront of the bars, turn the cap counter clockwise. Reverse operation to install new one.

Replace it with a new one from the dealer. I dont know how much. But for a car only 10-15 bucks? Then order an impeller.
