Ordering 22" tires for the Raptor what tooth sproket should I goto dont need any more top end but would like to still have the same acceleration any help would be great oh yeah what brand of sproket should Igo with. Thanks in advance RY

 

I don't think the brand is all to important, I run a 12t counter sprocket with my xct's in the woods to reatain a lower gearing...sprocket specialists

Thanks that is what I thought but was not 100% sure.
I was told to buy the better Renthal around $25 so I think that is what I will do.

 

12 tooth. I have always used Sprocket Specialists brand and never had a problem.

 

i tried a 14t once.it was way to high.

I have a 12T with 20" tires. Frankly, it still seems geared too high from what I'm used to. I'd like to put a larger sprocket on the back as well, but it would hit the skid plate. I've never ran the 14T since mine came with a 12T. I'll stick with it.

 

well i put a 12 tooth on mine and it did run faster at dumont ,not sure about glamis or the desert,but i did feel a little gear changes were sketchy because the chain was under pressure,but it lasted a weekend with no problems,did hear a little squeek in the sprocket but i think it was the sand ,cleaned it today and it sounds good,the 12 tooth did what i wanted it to,and i beat most bikes up the hill with the same mods as me..
