Water in Oil
Just got my engine back together. Tranny updated, and 686 Craycraft....
Ran great for about 4 minutes then it would vibrate real hard when revved...
Went home and checked the oil and it was very runny and smelt like antifreeze...
Where did I go Wrong ?
Ran awesome for that 4 minutes... could spin tires over on the road in 3rd, and get the front up in 5th pretty easy.
I dunno

Sounds like you might have blew the head gasket. If you said you took it right out and ran it pretty hard, then it could be the gasket. Did you break the new parts in before you lit it up? Sorry to hear your Rappy's on the injured list.

Gee airraptor lets be a complete idiot tonight. Don't be a fool. Craycraft 686 will smoke your 727 premo donna motor. Raptar is not the first guy to have head gasket problems during the re-install. If you do a search you will find a lot of guys mess up the first headgasket. You are the know it all on here lol. You should know that. I burns you to no end that there are at least 12 motors from Craycraft that can do yours in. Hopefully you and raptorrcr can meet up sometimes and he can show you what a 727 should run like.
You get what you pay for??? LOL Bob Craycraft told him and others to call anytime if they needed help during the install. I know for a fact Bob emailed some pics to some to use during install. Help is just a phone call away. I know of one motor that trinity used a hammer to install a carrillo rod. lol Back to the flow bench erroraptor. Oh i mean readjust your chain.

air- In the end you will be the fool so keep posting. You are forgetting that most of the people on these forums are smarter than you and see right thru your whinny post. You the expert that dyno with tight chain, dragging brakes and bad airbox modds and slipping clutch. lol Wake up. Stating facts about trinity is one thing, being a fool like you is another. Give it up you can always sell your head and get a Craycraft. You have already tried to be like them with your coatings, cams etc.

In all my years of turning a wrench, I have never seen a head gasket go from no breakin. I would say it was installation error. All the instructions in the world wont work if you dont follow them.
If you 2 dont quit your bickering, you will go to bed without any dessert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DAMN, AND THEY SAY BANSHEE OWNERS ARE BAD

My only question is who put the engine together? Sounds like this guy doesn't have a Craycraft to me...just some parts from Craycraft. Who puts the headgasket on when you have your engine rebuilt? I thought you put your engine on a crate and shipped it to them and you got it back and threw it back in the quad. No?
Was the engine broken in or not before the four glorious minutes?

Headgaskets are what they are and they will let go sometimes. It doesn't matter if it's a quad or a v8. On my 500hp Buick 455, one let go after proper break in, re-torque, and 15 tire melting test runs. It's a weak point in high hp motors, that's why folks o-ring. I don't think RepTa deserves any comments about stupidity.
What's the best head gasket for a Raptor? Is the HP gasket an o-ring?

I agree, It has nothing to do with being stupid. I know it stinks but $hit happens. I dont care who you are or how good you think you are, something simple can humble you real fast. You cant tell me that Trinity,CrayCraft,Sparks,Patriot or any other respectable builder has never had a problem. They all build awesome motors. That is like saying , The only good riders are the ones that have never taken a spill.IF YOU HAVE NEVER EATEN $HIT, YOUR NOT RIDING HARD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
