Default RAPTOR CARB?

OK, I own a 01 raptor with a pro-design kn filter and bigger main and pilot jets. my raptor will sit in the garage for 3-4 weeks without me riding it. now it likes to dump gas out the overflow tubes, i have taken the carbs apart and cleaned them it appears the float gets stuck way to easy. i even put gas stabilizer in and it still does it.

does anyone else have this prob?

No I don't have that problem. Are your floats adjusted correctly?

Default RAPTOR CARB?

well i assume the floats are in the same position as stock. i would hate to have to drain the carbs every time im finished riding, it only happens on one carb. ill start it up let it run a few min then she starts flowin the gas out, next ill take it out and run it in the field and when i come back it has stopped. until next time!!!!!

Cut your fuel off a minute or so before cutting the motor off. It will drain your carbs.

Which Carb?

My 01 has started this lately and I have never opened them up. My is through the left carb (gear shifter side). My right side (brake pedal side) is not leaking. I am going to install a jet kit soon and will re-jet soon and will check the float level then.

For now I shut off the fuel and let her run till she shuts off (a minute or 2).

I have never had this issue with my raptor, but I have had this issue with my YZ. I do not know how many times I took the carb off and cleaned it and it kept happening. I finally resolved the issue by taking a piece of fine grit sand paper and sanding the overflow tube that sticks up. It was a little rough and the float kept getting stuck on it. Nice and smooth now and do not have a problem with gas flowing out of overflow any more.

I have the same prob. Like the post said earlier, I just let it run for a minute or two after I shut the fuel off. Just dont want to take the damn things off again.
