If you want the fastest, but not the prettiest, buy a used 'shee for like $2000. New plastic ~$290. Four cans of RustOleum about $10. +10" swingarm ~$400. New chain/sprockets/tires ~$300. That leaves you with $5000 to build a triple cylinder monster motor. It has been done!

I just had the 500 and when it was cool in the late evening and the air was flowing over the fins and you twisted the throttle, it was oh, oh, its magic. You Know

Bansheee, you could pick up a decent deal on a banshee, spend a few thousand, and have a hell of a machine.

I am partial to the banshee. I think it has got to be the most buildable machine to date. You can buy anything and everything for them brand new.

There are some triple shees running around, or you could build a cheetah 525 setup, The cheetahs are running real strong from what I hear.

Lots of options with the shee

I would get a used banshee, one with a blown motor would be best. You can get a pretty good one here for about 2,500. As a matter of fact I had a call about two hours ago from a guy trying to sell me one, new top end, new barnett clutches, two set of rims and tires, for 2,500. Then stay with the stock cases and new cylinders, what kind I don't know, swing arm, and gas struts. Then take off every bit of weight I could. Thats what I would do. I don't really care for the bike motor in a quad frame thing. Its like anybody can stick a motor thats fast in the frame, but to actualy have a fast Banshee would be different to me.
