I had the K&N filter setup awhile back and liked the pre filter outwear that was on it. I would like to get something like that over my pro flow uni filter setup. I know the uni comes with the thick outer wear all ready but wanted the water repellant one like what I purchased for the K&N filter kit. Does anyone know if they make such a thing?

I think they will fit the foam filter too!

 

Well the one I had for the K&N didnt have an end and it was open like all the way thru the filter. No end cap I think is what you call it.

 

you mean something to make it secure ,well i would use some velcro because i dont think they have one with a bungy end ..or a end to secure it..i used velcro on mine last time..

 

no not secure, I want it to filter the whole filter not just the sides. The Prefilter that I got for the K&N just covered the sides only cuz the K&N and a solid end on the filter not like the UNI which is all filter.

 

I have a clamp on UNI and i tried a pre-filter on it....remember no airbox.......and it wouldnt get up past 4k RPM! So it restricted an already rich motor. **** on OW for UNI's even K&N's for that matter!

 

I see what you are talking about, and they do make them ,i ride with guy's who ride ds's and thy have there filter straight to there carb and have outerwears all the way over them..

 

I have an Outerwears water resistant pre-filter on my Pro-Flow Uni foam filter. It is very simple. Call Outerwears at 1-800-967-3450. Tell them what you need. I think they are $20-30.

I have a stock engine, piped/jetted, Yosh pipe, Pingry airbox, and it runs great. It does NOT restrict the airflow that much. And it does cover the whole foam filter. Good luck!

I had outer wears web site at one time and was going to give you a link, but I can't find it now.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] If you can find it you will see you can get one for ANYTHING! I looked into getting one for the crankcase filter I have on mine, and they had one for it. You can also have them custom make anything you can't find.
