ok here goes im looking at titan 489 xts
ok first off my here is my stock tire size front and rear the front is 23/8/12 the rear 23/10/12 ok if iget new titan 489 xts in the same size how much better do they grip over the dunlops also what if i wore to get 24/8/12 for the front and 24/11/12 how would that work being it 4wd or would it matter i know the height only matter but im still asking how much would the taller tire drag my power down i think 25s would just be to big i need good acceleration and the 25 would hurt that please list all the info u have on these tire thanks

 

The 489 xt is a 6ply tire, so it will be heavier and stiffer than the stockers, you will notice a little harsher ride on hardpack, but it will have LOTS more traction than the stock tires. The 24" should be fine on a stock ride, a pipe,filter and jet set up will give you a bit more snort to turn heavier tires. I have 25 " Maxxis tires, they are only a little taller than stock, but a lot wider, the 8" fronts are as wide as the 10 stock rears. The Maxxis All Tracs give a great ride,and have good traction, and being only 3ply, are a lot lighter than the 489xt. You just need to determine what kind of riding you will do most, and select the tire that works best.

 

get a set of spieder tracs or mud lights

 

well i have thought about mudlites but there only in 25 inches but the 489xt in 23s are only about a pound or 2 heavier than the stock tires the stock front ones are 14 the 489xt are like 14.5 or so but the backs stock are 16 and the 489xts are like 17 something so do u think i will be happy with 489xts in 23s the reason i want new tires is the other day i could not get out of this valley it was a little steep but it was just slick mud and the dunlops just spun i finally got out but still it was very slick thanks all input needed

 

i think you would be happy iwht the 489s my neighbor has a wolverine with spidertracs on and it does ne where... also u might wanna try like blackwaters mayb... but you cant go worng with spider tras u can get them in 23's or get a set of wollyboogers or mudbusters
