I was just wondering what some people's opinions of the Warrior are. So far I havent had the opportunity to compare to any other quads. Like I said this is just a type of opinion poll. =-) Thanks!

[red]I ride a 99 warrior black/yellow.

I love it. It is a really nice quad for moderate speed, fairly sporty riding and all around stuff. You will get eaten up by banshees and 400 ex but that doesn't bother me much.

I have a 1999 Yamaha Warrior also and I think it is really a great ATV. It has speed and power and another plus it is very stable it won't do anything unusual to throw you off.

I have a 1987 Warrior, white and blue. I never had any engine problems but one problem I have with it is the rear shock is blown out. I've gone through 2 of em so far (stock ones and used), I think it is time for a Works Performance shock in the rear. Otherwise I love it. I really like the way Yamaha set up the reverse.

Just bought a 97 after selling a dirt bike and went back to areas that I had ridden before and what a difference! Power on demand and total control. My buddy just sold a 87 Warrior and bought a 99 2+ 4 Porlais that is an auto and is a very heavy bike, but has plenty of juice.
buy a Warrior and you will have a go- go machine that is fast and light weight.

I bought a new 99 Warrior last spring and it was my first quad i owned. I liked it at first and I put a Big Gun pipe, Uni air filter, vents in the airbox lid, rejetted, new rear tires, Oury grips, DG bumper, grab bar, and swingarm skidplate on it after a couple months. But after about 4 months I was sick of it because it was too heavy and underpowered for me and I realized that it handled like crap compared to a 400ex. So I got rid of it and now I own a modified 90 LT250R which is 10 times the quad of a Warrior. I feel that the Warrior was just a big waste of my money and I would definitely take a 250R, 400ex or Banshee over it (in that order).
