Any stronger evidence against the Raptor would be helpful. I've heard the front ends on the 700 is really light, and I'm not totally sure about the auto tranny. Why do you think the 400 is the best trail quad?

Oh here is a good opinion the Raptor is tippy [LMAO] and you will be shaken to death by the one cyclinder, Plus I read Dirtwheels and know everything because I own a P650 and I called Miss Cleo before I posted.

If you dont own a Raptor how do you know it has all these problems??????

 

Raptor is good for trails, but a z400 would be better suited if you do trails exclusively. Raptor in the woods would be kinda like a vette in city traffic, yea it will do it fine but why pay the money for the vette when all you need is a V-6 mustang lol.

 

So you guys are recommending a the Z400 for trail use over the 400EX Honda?

I would personally recommend the Raptor..but then again..that is a bias decision. Hold off on the Kawi 700, because it is a first year quad. We all know what happened to the first year Raptor..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]. Keep your options and mind open and everyones opinions will steer you in the right direction....WOW!!!...that sounded very zen-like. LOL. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Have they made changes since the first year raptor came out? I'm tempted to lean towards the raptor for their known reliability, but I'm also hesitant right now due to the fact that I assume that Honda is going to come out with something to compete this next year. What do you guys think?

Why dont more people buy used 250R's?My point-Spend $6000 on a new Stock Quad.Or spend $6000 on a R that someone put over $10000 into????Take the modded R anyday.There are some sweet R's on E Bay for 6K that will smoke any new Quad.Just makes sense to me. late,zubbeyboy

I couldnt have said it better!!!! HOLD on the Kawi 700, and the Pred (but take notes). In the mean time, beat the heck out of a 400ex (fun bike). (reliable, cheap, cheap, still a great quad)

What are the major complaints with the Raptor? What goes wrong with them, and are there ways to prvent them from the beginning?
