Default anyone with chrome sidecases

i finally got my sidecases back
the problem im having is where the oil line comes from the top of the head to the sidecase
is leaking ive tightened down about as much as i want to i think the brass crush washer
is not seating well to the chrome has anyone else had this problem and what did you do??

How about some teflon tape or use an o-ring.

it still need to breathe the oil it is a hollow bolt with holes around the top

did you get new crush washers when you put all this back together?

no but it crushed my chrome when tightening

Ouch! That sux.

They say your suppose to replace the crush washers everytime you take them off. May or maynot be the problem. I've reused them before.

Could always try a thin layer of yamabond on each side of the washer. Be sure none gets in the oil tract. Just a thought, might not be the best thing to do.

none of the other 6 are leaking im gonna try to take the chrome off around where it
seats and see what happens

I bet its the mechanic who put it together's fault.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Maybe try the case of beer thing we talked about earlier. It would be softer than the copper.
