banshee motor help

Default banshee motor help

my buddy and i were out riding and all of a sudden his 02 shee started to back fire and miss fire out of the right side we have been doing all kinds of work on it and cant fix it we took of the carbs and cleaned them and replaced the reeds.and still no luck. we tried to kick it and try tunning it somemore and now its locked up and you cant kick it over. need all the info and help please have to go to glamis this weekend.

Pull the head off and see what he has.

If its locked up that is not good.

Broken timing chain??? siezed piston???? broken valve??? Your answers will come with the removal of the head. Gl guys

Ummmm, he is talking about at banshee, no timing chain, no valves........you must have thought he had a raptor.

My guess is you will find the top of the piston is pecked up. I am guessing the crank bearing is shot. Pieces of the steel bearing can make their way to the topend and peck up the piston.


Its always the right side on a banshee just like #7 cylinder on a small block chevy.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Default banshee motor help

Try to take the pipe off and look into the exhaust . You should see if the piston is stuck there.... or just take the head off and see what you got there....
