How was the top end after the pipe, jet, & sprokets? I have a friend that has a DS 650 he is a little faster than me all around I want to suprise him by smoking his butt.

 

Is your friends DS stock? If it is the pipe and jets will cure that for you. Actualy if he is stock, you should be taking it to him now by about a bike length or so. Ths DS CDI hurts the DS bad. After these mods, your top end will still be around 70mph on pavement, in the dunes you'll never see 70mph because the sand robs so much power. If your friend is a bike length or so faster than you now, with those mods I told you of you will easily be beating him up the hills and anywhere else. If he's modded similar and has the Ron woods CDI you'll be about even with him. The front and rear sprockets alone will vastly improve your duneing experience even without the pipe and filter.
