Default Possible one way fix

Hi guys I'm a new member and wanted to say Hi. Also I found this on another board it is a one way bearing fix for about 99 cents, here is the link. I am going to try this today if I can get the flywheel off, I will let you know how it works...

Good luck with the o-ring, I am gonna try it in a few weeks myself. From what Grant says it sounds like the hot ticket.

You have some very good information there. Finally something is better on the 01.
The needle bearings. I have learned to start it in neutral and with the clutch pulled in.
My 01 might be saved.

Alot of people replacing one-ways over and over would say the crap they get from yamaha is a temp fix, LOL. They may or may not be replacing the gear at the same time which I think factors in.

did it break? what kind of o-ring was it? What kind of shape were the sprags in before the o-ring.

Grant said he took the sprags out and spaced the bad ones out evenly.

I haven't taken it apart yet to see if it broke or was sliping or what but the spraggs looked pretty good and I spred the worst ones out as best I could, and It was just a rubber oring from ace hardware, I'll let you know if it is broke, maybe I just need a higher quality oring.

That might be it, atleast the flywheel may come off a little easier for you now.
