I rejeted today, went down to 146/148 dj and did a plug test. Held wide open in third and hit the clutch and the kill and the same time and held the throttle open til stopped. plug was black at base ring and porcelin white. Same as it looked when i had 148/150 dj. Also had low end hesitation, dropped needles to 5th notch from top and corrected but i have missing at 1/8th throttle only going up hill in first. whats the deal? I also did a plug test at 1/2 throttle and the plug looked the same.

Well...... to start I think doing a plug check with the gas we have today is allmost impossible, to much detergent.
How did it run with the 148/150 in it?
How many turns out on the mix. screws?

I would think 148/150 mains, 25 pilot jets, 4th groove, 2 1/2- 2 3/4 on the screws.
Mostly it sounds like pilot jets need to be bigger.

It ran alright with the 148/150, but the temp here has increased 30 degrees since. I was 3 turns out on the screws, now im 3 and 3 1/2. Im at 700 ft and its about 65 out.
