wiseco in a warrior.....building
#1
I just ordered a Wiseco single oversized for my Warrior. What is the compression on that piston.it is higher than stock right? Anything special to note when rebuilding the top endon the warrior. I know the valves will get new umbrella seals. Anything else special??

its pritty easy. no surprises. i sent my jug to wiseso. they boared it and mached the piston to the jug. including shipping and insurance, it was only 15 bucks more than shops around . by the way this was on my 95 wolverine. the piston 10.25 comp. ratio.

I think all they make is the 10.25:1 for the warrior. It looks like its going to be really hard to put in but with two people it only took me about 10 minutes to get it in there. Remember to gap the rings though and have the sucker lubed up like the manual says. What took the longest was one of the wrist pin clips didnt want to go all the way back to its seat, although it looked like it was in, we had to take the old wrist pin and use it to knock the little clip in all the way. Be very careful and make sure both get ALL the way in.

when i do mine im going to pull the motor out of the frame and clean it all up and paint it as well. I think i already said something about the valve seals. Maybe lap the valve seats too. When you talk about ring gap are you talking about end ring gap. Isnt it true that as long as the ring goes down in the cylinder and the ring ends dont touch you are ok?? Or is this some shadtree way to do it. I just want this done right and I still have to find someone to bore it. What about shaving the head a little to boost compression a little more? Also how much power did the higher compression piston add?? I just got my T-4 on last week so maybe it will help out? Dont know if I mentioned it but banshee front shocks are the only way to go on these. Also just how do you know 100% if a shock is good or not (besides oil running down them)?
