I am hpoing to buy a 2003 raptor later this year and was wondering how it holds up with MX racing, jumping and tough trail riding. I am also looking at the Honda 400EX but feel that is it lacking in power compared to the raptor.
My real question is how well will the Raptor hold up on the track and with jumps
also how easy to do monthly maintance like oil change,ect......

Raptor does great on MX tracks. Get the suspension wide and the tires low(20's n front, 18's in back). The raptor has plenty of power for coming out of corners and with the quad wide and low, its REAL stable on jumps and rhythm sections.

My friend has an 02 Raptor. I like it alot. I get to ride it once in a while when we ride together. It does really well on all areas you mentioned. He does hang up the back axle quite a bit in the trails that we ride. It doesn't seem to have much clearance trrough that part. Other than that, it goes pretty much everywhere I go.
