Has anybody tried that or saw something like that? Many motors outhere can give much more power without tranny or rod problems.Modifying 660 is scaring me because reliability is very importand at my type of racing.

 

the strong point of the raptor is the motor, not the chassis. Start with a Aftermarket 250R frame, not a Rpator frame.

 

i agree, the motor is the rappy's strong point. but its your machine, do what ever makes you happy. i dont think you would have to much trouble getting another motor in there. have fun

 

Good point, I guess I didn't realize tha tyou already have a Raptor. I bet you could get a big motor in there. Since it si soo tall between the lower frame members and the head stay, you could have alot of options. I would like to see a KTM 500 in there.

There is a guy from down here that just put an R1 motor into a raptor frame,i hear it runs pretty good.There are some pics of it on monsteratvs.com Check it out.Later.

 

CED's right, we got to see it last weekend. It look pretty good and fast, w never got to see it run up the hill. Sounded really wicked too.
