I am looking to by a 2000 four wheel drive atv that i can work hard then get in some good trial riding in on and i have narrowed it down to Grizzly 600, 450es, Sportsman 500.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If it's just for trailriding and you're not a really big guy I'd check out the wolverine. It's a pretty nimble little 4x4 and although it may not be as fast as the grizz it's definitely alot more sporty. That grizzly is only slightly smaller than your average tank. Ditto for the piglaris and honda. If you want to work a big motored quad and dont mind the extreme size/weight of your choices then it might be a good idea to wait and check out the Honda Rubicon 500, it wont suffer from the belt drive weakneses and will probably have true 4wheel drive like the Polaris. But personally if I had to choose between the SP500, Grizz, and 450ES I'd buy the Grizz!

Go for Grizzly!
My friend has one and He loves it.
He can plow dirt with his Grizzly!
It's very strong machine for good price.
