i certainly hope you changed that needle jet per instructions! and changed the main too, or you wont have an engine for long.
changing the needle is easy. let me know and i'll walk ya thru it.
dont ride it till you do the carb stuff as well.

my blaster sat for two years. I got it out changed the gas and finally got it started. The thing would not run right though. it wouldnt idle it would only even run on half choke and it was pouring out fuel from the hose on the bottom of the carb. I took the carb off used carb clean and sprayed it down. I pulled the bowl and checked the floats which seamed fine and cleaned them also. I put it back together and got it to start without choke. I ran it down the driveway to warm it up and it kept backfireing. I tried to adjust the screw on the box above the carb and I finally got it to idle. I put it in gear and was about to take off when it just went nuts with over rev. I popped the clutch and it killed. I am not sure what the problem is because when I put it away last it ran just fine.

You need to unscrew the jets in the carb and clean them out. If you let a carb sit for a long time it is wise to either put some Sta-bil in the tank and crank the engine long enough for the Sta-bil to enter the carb. An even better method, shut the fuel off and run the engine until the carb runs out of fuel. The problem is if you don't use these methods, over time the gas in the carb will evaporate and leave all kinds of scale and crap that you don't want in your carb to stop it up.
