jackel has a good point the 400ex is very reliable can't go wrong there

 

caught on late, but this is going to make me sound old. I am 25 , 5"11 and 200lbs and I have a 03 blaster and it doesn't feel small to me. Yea I have had bigger quads and they feel better, just saying it isn't as little as everyone says. THe best thing is to just go test ride both and see for yourself.

 

i have also ridden both. i am 5'9" 200 pounds and i felt really cramped compared to the EX, and the blaster wasnt nearly as fast. go with the EX.

 

I'd have to say a 400EX would be better suited for MX. The Blaster is a nice little quad, but can be a bit cramped. The 400 EX also handles a bit better. Just my opinion.
