Default Raptor Clutch/Cable

this last weekend i was out riding the raptor and i had a problem where i couldnt shift gears at all and with the clutch all the way pulled in the machine still wanted to move foward and kill out on me, this was after it was warm and all, so i shut it off and look at cable seemed ok, restarted and machine shifted fine for about 5 more minutes. I figured my clutch cable had stretched some and adjusted it a little seems ok but i havent got that much time on it since i adjusted it, anyone else have this sorta problem? thanks for any advise

sounds like a bad adjustment, easy fix...are you using stock lever? How much lever freeplay is there?

there should only be about the width of a nickel worth of free play.

Get rid of some of that slack in the cable...adjust the handlebar adjuster all the way in and then adjust the two 12mm nuts on the RH side of the case to get real close to the desired freeplay(a nickles worth...I like that Ward). Tighten everything and start the bike, it should shift smooth and go into nuetral without problems. If the problem persists PM me and we'll figure it out.

Yeah its really easy to remember.

I had problems with my clutch a LOOOOOOOONG time ago and that is how it started. I ended up with a new clutch basket, plates, and fibers. It started out under warrenty but ended up not being because of th date, my warrenty ran out the day before I brought it in. It has been so long ago that I don't remember much about it though. I do remember the mechanics at the stealership never did find a problem, they just replaced everything untill it quit doing it.
