Some like it some don't. Me I love it sure it's a pain to clean and maintain after but you play you pay. Before I really got into quads I used to mud bog trucks now they are some work to clean.

Why would u want to own a quad if u never go muddin, Thats all the fun (even getting stuck) which is alright with a sport quad because u can lift them out and go again. With 4x4's u need a winch or a buddy to get it out. when i ride i hit almost every possible mud hole i can even if i can't make it through.

no mud = no life
i love getting dirty, when i had my old honda 200sx i would put that thing up to the top of the fenders all spring and fall, now i have my warrior and on saturday i went mudding for the first time, got it up to the top of the front fender and it stalled, by the way you do not get stuck all the time, throw on bearclaw tires on the rear and you can truck through anything until you bottom out
By the summer, i will have a 4x4 utility or wolverine to play around on

I like mud, but if I had enough money for 2 quads (one for mud, one to keep clean) I would like it more. Also, if I had a full time mechanic that could tear my quad down, clean it, and put it back together after every race I would like it more. After my last GNCC race in the red clay mud of Georgia my quad weighed about 20-30 pounds more due to the massive amount of mud caked everywhere. I had a nice cushion of about 2 inches of mud between my seat and my butt. The fun part is trying to pick the best line so that you don't get stuck. It is so fun to go flying past another rider that is stuck up to his fenders in the mud, giving him a nice "mud bath" as I pass. Is is not so fun, however, when you are the unfortunate one that gets sprayed! That's all part of racing, though!
I don't like water though. It does not mix well with an open airbox.

I hate having to clean off the mud, but it sure is fun going through it. The worst time was when I got sucked into this stagnant frog pond, it was HORRIBLE. It was up to my thighs in mud, and the quad wasnt off any better. The nerf bars were covered in alge, and I had soo much mud in my brakes I couldnt stop. It took 3 guys to get it out!
