What's the best time of year to go. Is it worth going in the summer or is it too hot. I'm going to a different set of dunes this summer, but I'm looking forward to a trip out west this comming fall. Also, is stuff going on there all week long or is it mostly on the week ends that the place starts jumping. Naked women on quads!!! What a mental picture.

Starky it is way hot in the summer. Thanksgiving weekend to about Easter is Glamis time, alittle before maybe a little after but you won't see all the radical stuff.

I go to Gordens well all the time. It is more of a family place, or should I say it was. It seems that alot of people from Glamis that like to party (ALL NIGHT LONG) are coming here. Because they can't do it at Glamis. Gordens will be the next to get the BLM crack down.

Amen bigger

Glamis was fun, but it was really trashy. Trash around every bush. I enjoyed the dunes, but it did seem there were quite a few idiots when you got over to olds, or to gecko.

I would go back, but would prefer a family atmosphere, what part of the dunes is more family oriented?

Bat, you would love Gordon's Well. It's more of the family atmosphere, comp hill and the flat drags are only 5-10 minutes away, perfect camping area's, better riding IMO.

Ask Jiminok his thoughts.

I think that Glamis certainly has the atmosphere and good times to make it a fun place (from what I can see from my 1 visit there). As far as the best dunes for actual riding, jumping, hill climbing, etc then St. Anthony is definately the winner. That place has everything from little baby dunes for the kids to monsters hills that are as steep as sand can stack - not just 1 or 2 but a ton of huge challenging hills. Anyway, that's the place I like the best.
