Glamis reputation

I wouldn't head to Glamis unless you are prepared to tell everyone you know the rest of your life how much you love the dunes...and you can't wait to go back, and its so rad, and they can't possibly imagine nor could you fairly describe how great it is. Thats just my completely unbiased position

Glamis is what you make of it. KingRaptor always camps with us and he can tell you there isnt any naked girls in our camp but our camp still always has a good time and KR will take you on some of the best duning you've ever seen.

Ogilby is by far the most family oriented camp area that I know of. It's East of the Gordons Well exit (off I-10) and the closest camp area for AZ people. It's a 25-30 mile ride to Glamis (due to the damn closures) and Patton valley takes ya to the sand highway and then to the Glamis area. Visiting Glamis is an all day affair and it's nice to have buggy back-up for gas and "refreshments".
It's the only place to camp that I know of with trees (yep - some actual shade trees) and bushes. The duning in that area is great too - not totally tracked up. Also, your neighbors arent so close. It gets pretty busy on the big weekends but nothing like the Gordons or Glamis dust bowl. Quiets right down after 11-12pm....all ya ever hear late at night is a couple stragglers that got lost coming back in to camp. There is a 5-7 mile dirt road leading into the camp area. BLM - hardly ever see any.
I camp there most often......Glamis is there if we need a fix !

So which is better or should I just go and find out? Dumont or Glamis?? I have been to Dumont but not to Glamis. Dumont had the steepest hills I have ever seen made from Sand but I sure did get a chance to climb most of them.
