Whenever I wash my raptor and it dries there is a terrible squeak that just wont go away. It continues to make the noise for a long time after. I have tried spraying wd-40 on just about everything and the squeak still doesn't go away. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do to get rid of it?

Its probably the shock bushing squeaking on the shaft. Mine did the same use something other than wd-40 it will dry out the bushing. I used some silicone lube. never had a prob since.

The squeak is probably coming from your lower bushings on the front shocks. To solve the problem, take the bolts out where the shock mounts to the lower control arm. Tap the bushing out of the shock and clean all the rust and dirt off of it. Take some STP oil treatment, and coat the outside and inside of the bushing and the shaft of the bolt. Re-assemble and have a quiet ride. I did this about 3 months ago and I haven't heard a peep out of them.

On my '02 the squeak was caused by the rubber bushings on the top rear shock mount,. where it attaches to the frame. As mentioned earlier, do not use WD-40. It will dry out the rubber. use a spray silicone lubricant. Spray it good, go riding, and when the lube works its way in, bye bye squeak!

I had the same problem, Mine was the top rear shock mount and the lower front shock mounts, I took the bushing apart, cleaned then and used water resistant grease on them and solved the issue! Good luck, I know I hated every squeak on mine.

Maybe you have some grit between your brake pad and rotor.

Lol this recently happened to me last week. I loosened the top bolt that holds the shock a little bit and it stopped. If it happens again I will just take it off and clean it and grease it back up.
