I just have a question. Why does everybody get all defensive when someone says they have a machine faster than a banshee? I'm not saying the banshee is a bad machine, I know it is fast. I'm not trying to praise the ds either, Bombardier definately needs to do something about the weight. All I'm trying to say is that if both machines are COMPLETELY STOCK and had equal riders the ds will win. I hope the new Cannondale turns out to be an awesome machine because I'm sick of all the banshee riders who say their machines can't be touched. No matter what, there will always be somebody out there that's faster than you....and that's not just for the banshee guys, that's for everybody.

 

Straight up it mostly depends on the rider, a good rider can get just about anything to rip up the track, while a rookie on a banshee or ds could get smoked buy a 400 ex ect...

Also there are two types of riders, ego driven freaks who have to have the best/fastest of everything and the guys that just want to have a great time on thier ride. If you do not have a wide open area to open er' up, don't bother getting a banshee or a ds, you'l never utilize the power go for a Warrior

P.S thier both great machine that will blow your hair back. in canada the Banshee is $6000 the Ds is like $10,000 how much money do you want to spend on fun???

 

I totally agree with you. Any machine will suck in a drag race if the person riding is too scared to actually race it. I was just looking at a banshee the other day, price tag was $7499. The DS I looked at was $9299. Quite a price difference. Only thing I would hate about the banshee is mixin the freakin gas all the time!

 

How many post are there gonna be asking about who would win in this race or that race?

My friend has a DS...my personal opinion...give it some time...cause it isn't ready yet....It is the worst quad for a motocross situation.(probably pretty wild in the desert)..It goes pretty fast...But not arm ripping... I beat that machine on my banshee hands down...every time.... But I have been riding since I was around 4 years old....the rider on the ds has not...

so I guess your question should be...." Without the rider on the bike...Which bike would win in a drag race?".... Maybe the DS...depends on how long the drag race is.... If it's a short distance...the banshee should win..... the 250r would come next....and the 400ex would lose everytime. but who knows.....

You are obviously very biased. You haven't even seen specs on that new honda and just flat out saying that it will blow everything away. Well, I bet that Cannondale would beat the Yamaha because I have seen specs on both and the Cannondale's or more impressive. Good day

 

banshee can out run 400ex AND FOR GOD SAKE DON"T SAY IT CAN"T i have it in my magazine TESTED BANSHEE out ran it by 5mph i don't know DS is HEAVY... REALLY HEAVY..

 

LOL In reply to this long drawn out discussion I wanna say I like the Banshee. I would love to have the oportunity to test the other 2 out. They all sound like really fun rides. If your thinking to yourself this guy didnt even answer my question....Your right! Cause the race would depend on so many different factors that its not even funny. Rider weight, experience, mods/none, weather conditions, surface conditions, etc, etc. LOL Anywho does my Warrior count in this discussion! ROFL j/k Have fun riding you guys! =-)
