hey everybody, this about sums everything up for ya.

Here is a quote from the December 99 issue of Dirt Wheels.

"We ran the new DS650 against a stock Banshee 350 and a Fourtrax 400EX in the sands of Pismo Beach. The mighty Bombardier led every drag race from start to finish and was still pulling hard in fifth gear!"

here's one from the May 00 issue of 4-Wheel ATV Action.

"Even though a stock Bombardier DS650 smokes a stock Yamaha Banshee 350 twin in a drag race and for top speed, we know that the Rotax powerplant in the DS--which has good midrange, but not much more--is capable of really screaming."

so there ya have it boys and girls, the banshee isn't the king of speed anymore. Don't worry though, if the new Yamaha is all its cracked up to be, it sounds like a wicked machine.

Hmmmm, well lets see. Stock means out of the box. The DS650 "out of the box" is a mean machine. I love banshees, and would have bought one if the Bomb had not come out. I drag hard against a Banshee with pipes, jetted, air boxed and filtered . Whoever gets the holeshot wins. We were dragging on Wednesday evening after work and mine was consistantly pulling his, later in the evening towards dusk, he was pulling me but his is modified. Another friend who has a stock banshee would not race me, did not even want to try. The best all around quad may be the 400ex though. I do not like them, my $.02
