Default Question on engine tear down

When removing the flywheel to remove the crank. The manual calls to use a flywheel puller. I have the standard gear puller or harmonic balancer puller. Is this what you guys used to remove the flywheel. Just wanted to make sure. It seemed a little tough and didn't what to F#%K it up. Thanks for letting me know.

Yes, thats what I used. As long as the bolts line up with the threaded holes on the flywheel that puller will work for you. The flywheel is tough, once it breaks free it may actualy pop off the shaft instead of slowly pulling off.
