To see if it is warmed up, touch the oil filter and see if it is warm.

You should always fill up your oil filter and lube the seal. As for the octane question i always use 91. The owners manuel says you can use 86 or higher or 91 or higher so i just go with the 91. It dosnt hurt anything and if it gets really hot it will keep the bike from pinging so its cheap insurance, better safe than sorry IMO.

I use the K&N oil filter. Lubricate the ring.

Maddog where were you when I was tearing the fenders off? God your way would of been much easier! Warrior it would be much easier to take the shock off. Man sometimes a guy should stop and think once in a while before he tears into things!

Warrior I use 91 octane which here in Utah is premium, we don't have anything higher other than at speciallty shops. 91 works great, although the brother-in -law uses 104 in his banshee and I think I will try it for easter.

and has anyone ever heard of breakin in shocks? i remember a while back some guy was saying raptors were crappy cause his friend got one and he jumped it after only 20 hours and the shock blew. Coulda been a lie but i remember people saying he was stupid for doing it with so little hours on it implying that the shocks get broken in?
