i asked about where to get taller bars for my raptor about a week ago with limited response so i thought i would try again.somebody must have installed taller bars on their raptor to accomodate for their height so if any one has done this please let me know where to purchase them or a clamp set up that will raise the stock bars.thanks:

 

I got a pair of MSR carbon steel ones from rocky mountain atv they are of atv bend. They are about 1 1/2 2 /1/2 taller than stock ones. They are cheap too like 30 bucks or something like that. They are even black. I like them and I'm 6-1.

 

An easy way to fix the problem is to blow $300 on a +2 steering stem. Along with this you get anti-vibe handlebar mounts. You will also need to relocate your key and dummy lights. Easy, but expensive fix.

Alot of the catalogs have the measurements for the bars in them. Try that out. Mine are lower than stcok or I might be able to help more, sorry. Trail tech also makes a bar riser that looks pretty good, Rcky Mnt might carry it.

 

i have the tag T2 raptor bars with their clamp, it raises the bars about 1.6 inches? love'em..their a ton better than stock...here is a review:

I love my renthal hi-bend bars. Not sure how tall stock are, but they sure as heck beat my old o'neal bars. They are pretty tall and made me fell MUCH more confterble on the bike..

the tag2 high bends are cool. buddy of mine got them on his ds.

 

I have fly racing ATV bend bars on my '01. They are definately higher than stock. They are pretty cheap too. If you are looking to go higher, these definately are the way to go. They sit much higher. If you are interested, I can hook you up with the dealer.

 

thanks for the ideas i decided to try a set of high bend atv bars from rocky mountain atv and if those dont work i will maybe look into some of the other more expensive options like a different clamp set up.

 

I have the MSR Dominator ATV bend bars ($36) and they were the tallest I could find. I've been very happy with the feel and didnt end up spending much - that's the first time !?

It's worth a try prior to spending lots of money.....
