Default another big bear question

iv'e got a 2001 big bear and when i shift up the shift lever sticke on the side of the engine (looks like it is too far over) and the clutch engauges and it just sits in one spot and revs up and suddenly jerks forward and almost throws me off
and suggestions how to fix it? also before it started doing this it seemed that the clutch wos'nt enguaging fast enough (i'd shift up and the lever would go back down and it would rev up then jerk forward as i said before)

that is one weird problem, never heard of it before. Are you holding the throttle while shifting? because if you are dont but im sure you arent, thats just the only thing I think could pissibly make that happen, maybe the clutch is just slipping? Ive never dealt with clutches so I dunno what you do when they slip, maybe you just gatta replace the clutch or something. also have you tried playing with the adjustment screw on the side of the transmisson (I think)?

mine is pretty far from my side. as far as weak i don't think so but it is bendable. Maybe you bent it in but as we see you fixed the bent problem. you should probably adjust the screw as mentioned above. I never have adjusted mine so i can't help you there but maybe someone else has played with that screw b4.
