dyno jet #s compared to mikunis
#1
i am running 155/160 mikuni mains in my raptor with a modified lid and pro design air filter and it runs great from top to bottom but my jet numbers look low compared to dyno jet ,how do they compare.i am not having performance problems at any rpm range i am just curious as to how my jetting is set compared to people running dyno jets. i am asking because i have seen some people say that the dyno jet #s would be lower as compared to mikuni but i think that i remember seeing a conversion chart that said just the opposite.

Well I had the dynojet kit and the #'s are different, but they do not work well in the raptor if you are gonna run no lid, I went back to mikuni jets and it runs alot better. I went from a 148/150 DJ combo to 160/165 mikuni jets and have about the same result. I had the chart that compared them but can't find it right now, If I do I will post it for ya.

well i was curious so i dug through my file(messy drawer) and found the conversion chart and it says that my 155/160 mikunis are equivalent to 165/170 dyno jets, does that sound right or is this chart i printed up not right.this jetting can be very confusing with many different opinions but i am trying to get the facts straight for a proper comparison.as i said earlier i am very pleased with the performance i am getting and the plug looks great and i have no hesitations anywhere i just want to verify the number comparison.
