Default Raptor twist throttle help...

Hey guys my friend is putting on a Motion Pro twist throttle on his Raptor and he is having a problem. We put the twist on but the throttle won't snap back...it just sticks. We took it to the dealer and they said he would have to buy a whole new carbuerator just to put the twist on. Needless to say that ain't gonna happen! The thumb throttle had a spring inside of it, whereas the twist does not. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

This is what I did.Make sure the bar is real clean you may need to take some steel wool and remove some paint so there is nothing hanging up the twist. Remove the lip on the plastic part of the throttle if not when you put the grip all the way on the grip will rub on the housing.I think I had to file a spot on the inside of the twist because it was rubbing in the housing.Basicly you need to get rid of any friction or binding and it will work fine. And run you cable so it does'nt make any sharp bends. The return spring is weak but it will work.
Good luck.

I am having the same problem with mine. Some times it will work fine and others it will return slow or not at all. I haven't riden it yet, but I need to fix it soon.
