Need some help!! Kodiak burnt up!!
#1
My brother's 02 kodiak 400 burnt up about 2 months ago. He had the bike in the shop atleast a dozen times before that and the Yamaha dealership here sucks so bad that many times he picked it up and had to take it right back up because of bolts and hoses missing off the bike.
The night it burnt up he was riding and a flame erupted underneath the bike, our guess a fuel leak of some sort and before he had a chance to put it out it was over and the whole thing went up in flames. It was absolutely fluke circumstance but **** happens right.
As he persued Yamaha for an answer as to what he needs to do (he had the 3 yr warranty) they kept giving him the run around for 2 months then finally came back with a "no sorry, we won't be able to give you ANYTHING". Not even his $$ for the warranty.
Does anybody have any suggestions, as to what we can do to make this right
Any answers or suggestions would be of great help.

Maybe park it in the showroom in the middle of the nite?? or..
rent some space from the business next to the dealer and put it there with a sign on it about customer service at joe blows yamaha.
but I would definitely get on the phone with yamaha usa - it will take you a while to get through but the squeaky wheel gets the grease (800) 962-7926

Does warranty cover fire? Did you put it through your insurance? If there was that much damage maybe they would right it off. Maybe if the cause of the fire was faulty parts or something Yamaha would take responceability. I'd like to see something get done about it but I think your going to have your work cut out for you.
Good Luck and keep us posted as to the results.
