Hello I am just wondering if there is anyone out there that has a wolverine starter to fit my 2000 model. Or if anyone knows where i can get one from. Or if anyone knows where i can get a rebuild kit for this starter. I am from minnesota.

If your armature is good, a rebuild kit should be less than 50 bucks, I'm assuming you only need a set of brushes and an end cap assembly. Other than that, a Warrior starter is the exact same, they share the same motor top end, ebay would have a few.

Here in the Twin Cities, parts for those starters are easy to find and cheap. Check with a auto-electric shop in your area, if they don't stock what you need, it should only be a few days away by ups. I have found it easy to find starter parts for my toys, when I don't tell them what it's for. For some reason, some places think yamaha makes starters, they don't. Matsumi is the brand I believe, but don't quote me on that.

btw, a complete brush plate, with brushes, fixes 90 percent of all starters.
