Again how many RPM's were you turning when it went? The Raptor even with a stage II cam stops making power around 7500 - 8000 RPM's. I don't think to stock rod will break keeping it below 8000!!!

On numerous occasions....I hammer the throttle just too hear the sound of the rev limiter on my Stage 1, 10.75/1 Raptor.

It could and probably will let go.....I will not own something that I am afraid too pin the throttle WFO.

I still hammer the throttle as much or more than anyone. I don't even let off to shift. But I did lower my rev limiter to 500 rpm's above my peak HP.

When you rebuilt did you get OIL PRESSURE before you started the quad?

Possibly still a valvetrain problem? Cylinder off yet?

Nope. I stopped when I found the valve stuck in the top of the piston. I figure the rod could be bent as well as the crank. We'll see I haven't decided what to do yet.

Did you turn the engine over after getting the head off too see if the piston moving with the crank or not? The rod still could have failed, resulting in the piston too get up into the valves.
