ok, well i put 310's in today, and it seems to run kinda doggish and its hard to keep the revs up when your not really slamming it into gear. The plugs still are about the same color, i guess they just aren't gonna give me a good reading, so i'm gonna put the 300's back in a nd run it. i just hope that she doesn't blow!!!

Miniblaster, you will be fine with the 300 jets. You basically confirmed this yourself using the same method I and others use. You went up in jet size untill it started ******* then you back down. After you get some time riding - maybe 30 minutes or more you will see some color on the plugs.

Miniblaster - sounds like you'll be fine.
Hefe4pres. If you Banshee is stock you will riun about a 180 main jet. With K&N filter about a 190 main jet at youir altitude. The boost bottle doesn't affect jetting (or anything else for that matter) so don't worry about it.
Beginner, could be related to the TORS or the parking brake switch is stuck. I recommend a search on the subject as it's too much for me to cover right now. If it starts up at all then your CDI should be fine. The TORS and parking brake switch limit the RPMs as a safety measure. You give it gas but it won't rev and sputters and sounds real sick.

i know that i want to get some pipes for it but i'm gonna have to save up some cash!!!
Any suggestions for an all around pipe? And does anyone know the number formula for jetting for altitude. is it lean 2 jet sizes for every 1,000 feet??? not sure, just using 2 as an example. Soo i ride at an average of 7,000 feet, and i have the stock jetting. Any takers?
Oh and what about a degree key for a cheap mod?????
thanks

hefe4pres,
Good all around pipes are Toomey T5, Pro Circuit and FMF SST pipes. Dyno runs on those all look pretty good but they are top end pipes. The mid range pipes seem to not add much midrange and hardly help top end so I don't personally think they are a good choice.
Degree keys are an OK mod and are cheap - $25 for the key and another $10 for the puller (mandatory).
Jetting is unique to every machine, temperature, altitude, etc.... Let us know what you got and we can help you out. I ride around 7000 feet a lot too so I know what works for me.
