what's the smallest dome i can run with the cool head without having to weld the cranks?? I have toomey t-5s am i going to have to rejet them from 280s to run the cool head??

 

I recently contacted my Yamaha tech concerning the cool heads/crank issue. I run with a 19cc dome. He told me that as long as I didn't seriously overrev the motor and dump the clutch (hole shot)I wouldn't have any problems. In other words, if I don't abuse the clutch there is no need to weld the crank. I ride entirely at Glamis and have rejetted from 280 to 290 and my bike runs great.
