BIGBUBBA- i am also using 160 165 mikuni mains and my raptor is running better than ever.i was at 155 160 and i thought that was a little lean so i bumped them up to 160 165 and i dont know how much i gained but it is noticeable.my raptor is not as built as yours but i am very pleased with the performance i get for the money i have put into the motor(1300.00 )that price is with the pipe and header and all labor so that is getting away pretty cheap.all i have is a 11:1 piston 102 mm with fmf pipe and header and pro design air filter but this thing really rips .i was told by many people that 160 165 mains was too small for my raptor but as you have found out it is a good combination for a high compression raptor.maybe we will see you at florence some time and i will get to see that craycraft run it sounds like you really have it dialed in now.

 

I asked Dynojet themselves and they said they wont work because the Mukuni have a different taper! I wouldn't do it

 

Well it obviously does work cause thats what I got in there and it's what made the best HP! The curve looks really great too!

 

Pat mikunis have a different tapered what? You can buy different tapered needles for most carbs. and the GYTR needle is tapered different than stock. I still don't understand.

 

I donno, I don't wanna stress myself thinkin bout it either. As long as my bike is getting the best HP it can I'm happy.

Bubba ya if it run it run it but Dynojet said they have matched there jets to there needles and the Mukunis have a different taper in the main and they don't match Dynojets needles

 

Prolly their way to make more money and sell more main jets.

 

airraptor has a point, not all quads will have the same exact HP ecspecially when 14mins has the MBRP and Bubba has the Yosh.
