I removed the headlight from my Blaster and noticed that is appears to be nothing more than a turn signal bulb from a GM car.

Are there any halogen or higher wattage bulbs out there?

It also appears that the "Hi-Beam" is really nothing more than the high and low beams on at the same time. Is this true or is my light wired improperly?

Very cool Website, but they don't have anything for a Blaster.

Anyone else have any ideas?

The H6HS bulb is the best option for the budget minded rider that just needs a little more light. The bulb is a 35/36.5 watt unit. Ya, we know. That's less wattage then the stock 45watt bulb. But this one burns brighter then stock, even at the lower RPMs. And making this modification is as easy as changing a light bulb. The only problem you will have is locating someone selling this little jem. If you are on good terms with your dealer, them have them contact Kimpex, USA. They are a wholesale distributor and won't sell direct to the public, but should not have any problems selling to a dealer. The bulb is part number 004741.
(taken from Blaster Central)
only $15.00. good price. tell me how it goes(if dealer will order it for you).

In the Dennis Kirk catalog they have a halogen light kit, 120,000 candlepower. Two lights, wiring, and mounting hardware all come with it, it costs 34.95. not bad. website is www.denniskirk.com you can get the catalog there. I will probably get this light for either my new blaster or trailblazer, I cant decide, you have had both, which do you like better?

Sounds great, but do you have to re-wind the Stator for this?

I don't really know, all it says in the description here is its a simple design that you can attach to any number of places on your ATV so I dont think so.
